Scotland, James VI, Second Coinage, half-merks (2), dated 1572 and 1575, crowned Scottish arms, 6 and 8 either side, rev., ornate cross with crowns and thistles in alternate angles, date in legend, 5.43g and 6.05g (SCBI 35, 1218-1227; S. 5478), slightly irregular flans, the first very fine, the second about very fine, and toned (2). The second with an old collector's ticket.
