PHOENICIA, Tyre. Severus Alexander. As Caesar, AD 222. Æ (26mm, 9.00 g, 6h). Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tyche-Astarte standing facing, foot on prow and placing hand on trophy, being crowned by Nike atop short column to right; Marsyas between trophy and Tyche-Astarte; murex shell between Tyche-Astarte and column. Cf. Rouvier 2413; BMC 419; AUB 257. Green patina with some earthen highlights/deposits, some light smoothing marks. Near VF.
