Laureate head right / Victory standing right, nude to the waist, inscribing a shield attached to a palm tree with her right hand; to right, mourning captive seated right. RIC III 79; MIR 18, 626-4/30; RSC 438. Toned, a couple light scratches. Good VF.

During the reign of Commodus, a serious revolt erupted in Britain in AD 184, the causes of which are uncertain. The revolt was quickly put down and a series of coins was struck to commemorate the event.
