A Platina medal made in honor of 25 years to the State of Israel - the 12 tribes - a rare mint error in which the back of the medal is rotated 180 degrees.

Of all the "Israel 25' Anniversary" medals, this is the only known medal with a mint error




The eighth Zimriya was held in Jerusalem in 1973, during the 25th Anniversary of the State of Israel. Fourteen choirs from nine countries participated, in addition to 18 Israeli choirs. The concerts took place in the large cities, small towns, on agricultural settlements and in I.D.F. military camps.





Obverse


To the right the inscription: "The Eighth Zimriya 5733". The English translation bears the date: "1973". On the left, the Zimriya emblem - a clef - imposed on a stylized figure of a nightingale.




Reverse


The official emblem of Israel's 25th Anniversary - a seven branched candelabra, a ribbon designed to read "25" upon which "Israel" appears. On the rim, below, in English: "Israel's 25th Anniversary"
