India, Mathura kingdom. Kamadatta. Ca. 1st century B.C. Æ coin (21 mm, 7.40 g). Goddess Lakshmi standing facing, with one arm raised; Brahmi legend Rajnah Kamadata(sa) above / Traces of elephants facing. Not listed in Pieper and Mitchiner; BMC, plate XXIV, 18. Our specimen has the complete king's name Rajno Kamadatasa clearly visible. Extremely rare and choice.

Kamadatta is one of the great rarities in the Mathura series. Pieper and Mitchiner did not record any specimens, while the British Museum has just one piece in its collection.
