Seleukid Kingdom. Antiochos IX Philopator. 114/3-95 B.C. AR tetradrachm (26 mm, 16.46 g, 12 h). Antioch on the Orontes, First reign, ca. 113-112 B.C. Diademed head of Antiochos IX Philopator right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΦIΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ, Athena standing left, holding Nike, spear and grounded shield; to left, monogram above A; to inner right, tiny N; all within laurel wreath. SC 2363b; HGC 9, 1228a. Lightly toned with a few minor deposits (can be cleaned). Very fine.
