A challenging date to obtain in any grade, this beautiful Sovereign is near the peak of quality for the type, with just one example apiece graded higher at NGC and PCGS. Boasting considerable prooflike reflectivity to the fields, definitively struck devices with little subsequent contact and a strong visual appeal; the last example of this type and in this grade we handled realized $6,000 hammer at our April 2016 sale.
