IONIA. Kolophon. Circa 50 BC. (Bronze, 18 mm, 6.92 g, 12 h), struck under magistrate Apollas. AΠOΛΛAΣ Homer seated left on throne, holding scroll and resting his head upon his hand. Rev. KOΛOΦΩNIΩN Apollo standing right, holding kithara and phiale. Milne, Colophon 178. SNG Copenhagen 184-5. A lovely example, clear and well-struck, with fine green patina and a very interesting obverse. Good very fine.
