Faustus Cornelius Sulla, 56 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.54 g, 3 h), Rome. S•C FAVSTVS (in the form of a monogram Head of youthful Hercules to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. Globe surrounded by four different wreaths, with the one above being the most elaborate; at the bottom, to left, aplustre and, to right, grain ear. Babelon (Cornelia) 61. Crawford 426/41. Sydenham 882. Very attractively toned. Reverse slightly off-center, otherwise, very fine.
