LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 280-213 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 6.45 g, 2 h), reduced standard. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested and laureate Attic helmet. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting to right, his head lowered and facing; below, in the exergue, monogram of HPA and aphlaston. HN III 1891b (same obverse die as plate coin). SNG ANS 1105 (same obverse die but different monograms on the reverse). Same dies as G&M 245 (2017), 1065. An extremely rare example from the latest group of the Thourian staters. Toned. Very fine.
