Obol (Bronze, 26 mm, 16.67 g, 12 h), in the style of contemporary standard Ptolemaic coinage from Alexandreia, Syracuse, c. 264-263. Laureate head of Zeus right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle, with spread wings, standing left on thunderbolt; in field to left, oval shield decorated with thunderbolt; the whole within dotted circle.
