Gazetta (Copper, 29 mm, 6.68 g, 10 h), Decreed 24 January 1688 and 10 February 1691. ✶SAN•MARC• VEN✶ Half-length bust of the winged lion of S. Marco facing, holding Book of Gospel; in exergue, mark of value (II) flanked by stars. Rev. ✿/ARMATA/ E•T/ MOREA/✿ in five lines within simple dotted border. Gamberini 2059. Paolucci 816. Very appealing surfaces and in a condition scarcely encountered for this rapidly struck issue. Good very fine.
