Regni, uninscribed coinage (c. 60-20BC), silver Unit, 'Sussex Lyre-Chichester Boar' mule, 1.08g, 5h, diademed head right, rev. annulate horse right, boar below, face above, pelleted-annulets in fields (CCI 19.0293 this coin; Cottam 72/70-71; Bean QsT1-5/T1-1; VA-; S -; ABC 647/644), some porosity, otherwise fine/very fine and extremely rare.
Dr John Sills in recording this coin stated: 'There are five with a Sussex Lyre obverse, as here, [CCI] 93.0344, 95.1032, 98.1897, 07.0504 and 12.0012. It's really a separate, extremely rare type in it's own right and should have its own ABC number.'
