Mercia, Offa (757-796), Penny, Light coinage, South Eastern, non-portrait type, Canterbury, Tirweald, 1.19g, 6h, + offa rex, around central pellet-ringed boss, rev. t|ir|vv|al|d in angles of cross of lobes containing trefoil-headed sceptres (Chick 131 same dies, albeit this coin not listed; EMC 2009.0368 this coin; CEB -; N.285/319var.; S.904), minor flan crimping and a hint of surface porosity, otherwise very fine and extremely rare, one of only two examples known.
