Mercia, Offa (757-796), Penny, Light coinage, East Anglia, portrait type, Aethelræd, 1.12g, 12h, + offa + rex, cross on steps, rev. incurved quadrilateral at centre of long cross crosslet, oe|ðe|lr|es in angle (Chick 176 same dies, albeit this coin not listed; CEB -; N.331; S.907), minor flan crimping and a hint of surface porosity, otherwise darkly toned, a bolder very fine, very rare.
