(x) Wakefield Cathedral, Royal Maundy Service, 24 March 2005, A complete offering of Maundy Money for H. M. Queen Elizabeth II's 79th year (31 coins equalling 79 Pence) given to Miss Elsie Ward, 94, of Castleford, Yorks (S.4211), brilliant uncirculated, a rare offering, all vacupack sealed as issued, albeit two coins now exhibit peripheral toning (31).

This lot is presented with Maundy pouches and an extensive archive, including correspondence between the Lord High Almoner, Church Wardens, and the Chief Superintendent of West Yorkshire Police with the recipient in advance of the Royal Maundy Service. There is also an image of the recipient as photographed in March 2005, aged 94, and a certified registration of death certificated for December 2008.
