Obverse designed by Thomas Webb, Rev.erse by George Mills, commissioned by medallist James Mudie, laureate head right, italic script below of initials of designer and maker in two off-set lines, J M .D. / T W .F., beaded outer border and legend surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA., Rev. struck en medaille, crowned cruciform shields, emblems in angles, Order of St George at centre, buckle with motto, HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, italic script at rim of rose quadrant, Mills Fecit (Bull 2055; L&S 214; ESC 221; KM.PnB80). Attractively toned, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as PF61. Value $2,500 - UP
