Awarded to Colonel Dobrunov G.T., for his skillful command of 99th Recon Battalion, 2nd Guards Mechanized Division, during suppressing of the Hungarian uprising. Decree of December 18, 1956. The 99th battalion was instrumental in identifying and capturing the HQ of the rebels, as well as capturing the US spy, working for CIA in the Budapest.
