Group comes with: Order of Lenin #16133. Order of the Red Banner 2nd Award #7468 (scarce variation!). Mongolian Order of the Red Combat Banner #429. Chinese Order of the Resplendent Banner (Clouds & Banner) 4th Class #919. Military ID Booklet (contains photo), with full military record and other information. Condition:With exception of insignificant enamel chips and scratches, all orders are in excellent vintage condition, problem free

Fomenko Sergey Stepanovich, (1902 – 1991), was a career Soviet officer. Active participant of Russian Civil War (1918-1921). Continued to serve throughout 1920's and 1930's. Major-General in 1940. By the beginning of war with Nazi Germany, commander of 36th army. Distinguished himself in Hungan-Mugden offensive against Japanese forces. After the war, graduated from Voroshilov's Military Academy in 1949, and was serving as deputy commander of Trans-Baikal Military District. 1st deputy commander of Tavria Military District from Sept. 1953. 1st deputy commander of North army group since July 1956. Retired in 1957. Died on October 28, 1991. Extremely rare case of high ranking Soviet officer awarded with Mongolian and Chinese top combat awards
