Israel Bank Leumi Le-Israel 50 Pounds ND (1952) Pick 23s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. A handsome and rare Specimen of the highest denomination of the series. These 1952 types were the final private bank issues for the newly created State after the British Mandate ended. The Bank of Israel was founded in 1954, and the first notes from this issuer began in 1955. Although this 1952 series from the Bank Leumi le-Israel B.M. was not officially demonetized until the 1980s, this type still had a limited release lasting less than three years.
