Martinique Caisse Centrale de la France d'Outre Mer 1000 Francs 2.12.1941 (ND 1944-47) Pick 22b Stamped Cancelled PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. This handsome, large format banknote is especially desirable due to its interesting, cold-weather themes, despite issuance in a Caribbean country. Of interest, there are two varieties of this Martinique emission: the first with one red overprint "Martinique" at top-center of front, and the second, which has three red "Martinique" overprints. This variety, with one overprint, is exceedingly rare, as only 1,200 banknotes were prepared in this manner. Red cancellations are present on both sides of the note.
