Philippines Philippine National Bank 500 Pesos ND (1944) Pick 101c PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. The 500 Peso value was the highest issued denomination in the so-called Victory Series of 1944. Redeemable in either silver pesos or United States currency, it is likely that the vast majority of these were redeemed due to the denomination while many of the lowest denominations were kept as souvenirs. Legazpi, the conquistador who founded the Spanish colony of the Philippines, is seen on the face. The last time we sold this Pick, a Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ hammered for just under $5,800. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/philippines-philippine-national-bank-500-pesos-nd-1944-pick-101c-pmg-choice-uncirculated-63-epq/a/4021-28361.s?type=CoinArchivesCurrency4021 HID08706262019 © 2019 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
