George V 5 Cents 1921 VF25 PCGS, Ottawa mint, KM22a. One of the best-known rarities of the Canadian series, with fewer than 500 estimated to still exist from the original mintage of 2,500,000+ of which the vast majority were remelted. This piece saw moderate circulation before being salvaged but escaped with pleasing detail and without significant hardship; dove-gray, darkening at the peripheries and in the recesses with hints of aurous tone catching the light. A superb representative of this famed issue and worthy of any high-tier collection.
