Excellent grade for this scarce type, well-struck from tired dies leaving the occasional fine crack across the obverse, considerable argent luster flaring from the recesses, exquisite detail with negligible highpoint rub. The previous finest example of this type we handled was graded AU55 and realized $3,250 hammer in our April 2013 sale.
