Charles VI gold 1/2 Heaume d'or ND (1380-1422) XF45 NGC, Fr-296, Dup-374. 23.5mm. + KAROLVS : DЄI : GRACIA : FRANCORVM : RЄX, French arms beneath a crowned and draped helm, an annulet beneath the ninth letter / + XPC ★ VINCIT ★ XPC ★ RЄGNAT ★ XPC ★ INPЄRAT, cross fleurée in angled quadrilobe with lis in spandrels. A very scarce type, struck on a slightly irregular flan, with the important central details well-expressed for the type. Conservatively graded, considering a lack of any easily discernible wear, and exceptionally eye appealing for the grade.
