Augsburg. Free City Taler 1744-IT MS63 NGC, Augsburg mint, KM152, Dav-1924. With the name and titles of Karl VII. Full shimmering luster traverses the obverse surfaces, which exhibit a wonderful deep gunmetal patina infused with soft lilac coloration. Though slight softness is visible across the reverse center, detail elsewhere remains quite strong, focusing the eye and resulting in a marvelous overall impression of this scarce type, which is very rarely found so well-preserved.
