Bavaria platinum Pattern 5 Mark 1925 MS64 NGC, Schaaf-321/G3 var. (platinum). By Karl Goetz. An exceedingly rare variant of this private pattern issue, struck in platinum rather than silver. While the exact mintage figure is not listed by Schaaf, we believe it is likely to be only a small handful and have only been able to locate examples which are struck in silver.
