Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Karl I "Mining" Taler 1752-IBH MS64 PCGS, KM941, Dav-2164 (incorrectly stated as D-2160 on insert). A highly appealing example of this popular series depicting a mining scene on the obverse with two wild men flanking the coat of arms on the reverse. Only a minimum of rub at the higher points accounts for the grade, the surfaces displaying an even ashen patina with underlying luster evident in the fields, the overall strike commendable and resulting in an impressive display of detail.
