William III gold 1/2 Guinea 1698 AU55 PCGS, KM487.3, S-3468. Surfaces pleasantly toned to a matte honey-gold, mint luster subdued accordingly but still evident. Far sharper than normally seen for this issue, William's gold coinage often made to poor standards until his 1701 'fine work' portrait was created. Lightly circulated in line with the grade, but to little visual detriment.
