George II gold Guinea 1750 MS62 NGC, KM588, S-3680. A magnificent Guinea; this piece was offered at the 2008 Millenia Collection sale, there described as "possibly the very best 1750 in existence". Intensely flashy, Prooflike surfaces dazzle the viewer, the entire planchet lustrous and blushing with light peach tone; the strike perfectly executed and barely touched since. Tied for highest graded by NGC and PCGS, and surely the finest of these for its visual appeal alone.
