George III gold Sovereign 1818 MS62 PCGS, KM674, S-3785A. Ascending colon after BRITANNIAR. The more common type for this year, but certainly uncommon for its preservation and fantastic eye appeal. Dazzling with mint luster and with needle-sharp devices, it is perhaps its intense color which first captures the attention - a gorgeous tiger's eye gold with a sublime ring of deeper honey hue residing in the reverse garter.
