A delightful pattern bearing Gaelic legends, its engraving equal or even finer to the contemporary circulating currency of the time. Close loupe inspection reveals no major imperfections, a coin fully deserving of its gem level grade, fields magnificently toned to a sea of reflective gold with its devices more matte in contrast. Very rare, one of only a handful to appear at auction in the past two decades.
