Danzig. Johann Casimir gold Ducat 1651 AU55 NGC, Danzig mint, KM41.1, CNG-305. Exceedingly appealing for this scarce type, the surfaces bathed in warm golden luster, tinted to a pleasing sunset orange, with the devices soundly struck and leaving no significant areas of weakness. One would be hard-pressed to find a meaningfully better example of the issue, as the essential appeal remains that of a Mint State coin, the brief circulation it has encountered doing little to reduce its absolutely admirable quality.
