Pius XII gold Specimen Medal Anno I (1939) SP63 PCGS, Bartolotti-E939, Durst-12, cf. Rinaldi-133 (silver). 55.83gm. Mintage: 29-30. By Mistruzzi. A decidedly low-mintage, rare gold medal, struck under Pius XII and displaying his high-relief portrait on the obverse, the arms of the Vatican portrayed on the reverse. The only example of this elusive type encountered by PCGS to-date.
