Granadine Confederation gold 20 Pesos 1859-BOGOTA MS63 NGC, Bogota mint, KM130, Restrepo-M236.1. Prooflike reflectivity gleams at the peripheries, the centers a more matte texture, the entire planchet a uniform goldenrod in color with largely unmarred surfaces. A shallow metal crack runs between the A and N of GRANADINA but provides no visual detraction. This is the single highest graded example of this majestic Colombian rarity by PCGS or NGC; according to Restrepo, just eight examples of this first-year type are known, and it does not defy logic to assume that this present piece must be the finest available.
