Menelik II gold Pattern 1/2 Birr (4 Werk) EE 1889 (1897) MS63 NGC, Addis Ababa mint, KM15A, Gill-M20. Very rare; a large gold Ethiopian pattern of undeniable beauty, its surfaces untoned and retaining their vivid lemon-gold color, the devices crisply struck with full detail. Some contact marks are noted in the glossy fields as to be expected from the grade.
