Great Britain
Charles I gold Unite ND (1625) MS63 NGC, Tower mint, Lis mm, S-2685, N-2146. Incorrectly listed as S-2688 on the holder. Exceptionally well-preserved for the type, and the single highest graded example of this first-year Unite by either NGC or PCGS. Only minor areas of striking softness appear, the majority of the designs fully represented and needle-sharp, the planchet boasting an almost complete coverage of mint luster. Charles's portrait is particularly notable for the type, being notoriously shallowly-engraved and yet featured here almost as crisp as can be. For the collector of high-grade British hammered gold, you can look no further for quality.
