A stunning Proof of Record of near flawless manufacture and subsequent preservation, its surfaces glossy and reflective and its striking detail needle-sharp. Though Wilson and Rasmussen give this type a rarity rating of R4, meaning 11-20 specimens known, this type actually appears to be much scarcer than other types in the W&R reference with higher rarity ratings. We handled a specimen of this type graded PR63 in our January 2019 sale where it realized $13,200; this superior near-gem is sure to garner even stronger bidding.
