KM-PS22, S-PS15. An attractive group, representing the entirety of George VI's gold coinage. Each resides at the choice level grade or above, all with strong reflectivity and three bearing the notable 'cameo' designation (certainly not to be taken for granted on this series which was often produced without any frosting). The 5 Pounds has been awarded the coveted 'star' in recognition of its strong eye appeal, a pleasing contrast achieved through George's matte portrait and the flashy fields behind, the only detraction some box friction in the fields. In all respects, an appealing representative of this extremely popular Proof set accompanied by its original red leather box of issue.
