Jeremias Roth Senior gold 5 Ducats ND (19th Century) MS63 NGC, Kremnitz mint, Fr-575, Husz-15. Fully choice, sunny golden luster pervading across the obverse and reverse faces amidst delightfully crisp detailing. The design elements feature engaging imagery of St. George slaying the dragon, and Christ with three apostles weathering a tempestuous storm. These "coins" of Kremnitz were first struck in the 17th century and were intended to bring good luck to their owners. Few of especially the larger issues survive in better states of preservation, this example tying with only one other seen by NGC for finest certified.
