British Colony. Edward VII Dollar 1903-B MS65★ NGC, Bombay mint, KM25, Prid-2. Incuse mintmark variety. Truly beautiful, a prooflike Straits offering with 'star' eye appeal. At first glance appearing a matte dove-gray, the fields quickly flaring into reflective blue, violet and topaz tone when tilted in the light whilst Edward's portrait remains frosty. Perfectly struck with immaculate detail, amongst the finest of this large-size colonial type extant and absolutely guaranteed to garner strong bidder interest. The last MS65 example of this type we handled sold for $14,000 hammer at our September 2017 sale.
