Karl VI gold Specimen Restrike "Erection of St. Charles Church" Medal 1716-Dated (1914) SP63 PCGS, cf. Montenuovo-1442 (in bronze), Julius-960 (same). 40mm. Following the original by R. Richter and D. Warou, stamped HMA 1914 on the obverse. Commemorating the construction of St. Charles Church (Karlskirche) in Vienna. The only example of this gold restrike we have been able to locate, though numerous strikes in off-metals from those recorded in the Montenuovo and Julius collections are known.
