Ethiopia
Menelik II Proof 1/8 Birr EE 1887 (1894)-A, Paris mint, KM2. Fully mirrored fields, with gray and gold patina. Light marks are noted. These were the first issue of the new King and it is quite normal that special strikes were produced by the issuing Paris mint. These 1894 special strikes are rare and seldom offered.
