Third Series, Type C. +FLOR | ENTIA, stylized lily / S: IOHA | NNES • B •, St. John the Baptist nimbate and mantled, standing facing, scepter in left hand, raising right in benediction. A splendid early series Florentine Florin, fully struck and centered with a nearly complete outer rim, and just a small spot of red wax on St. John's robe. Though noted as cleaned, this appears only very light and is only noticeable under close magnification.
