Nicholas I copper Specimen Novodel 10 Kopecks 1830 EM-ΦΧ UNC Details (Corrosion Removed) PCGS, Ekaterinburg mint, KM-N499, Bit-H458 (R2), cf. Brekke-275 (listed without initials). Plain edge. An apparently very rare novodel issue, with a mere 2 specimens coming to auction in the last decade, the example sold in Künker's March 2010 Auction 167 (lot 6344) bringing over $10,000. According to Brekke, only one novodel type for the 1830 10 Kopecks is known, which reportedly does not carry the assayer's initials, and which was produced for the industrial fair of 1870. Patterns with a similar design are known, but only from the St. Petersburg mint.
