Francisco Franco "Numismatic Exposition" 5 Pesetas 1949(51) MS64 NGC, Madrid mint, KM778, Cay-17898. Estimated Mintage: 6,000. Issued to commemorate the Second National Numismatic Exposition December 2, 1951, with E replacing the 19 in the star before the denomination. Only the second example of the type we have handled, and only the second we have found coming to auction in nearly 2 decades, with a total of just four certified to date across both grading services, none finer. For comparison, an MS63 brought $2760 in our August 2010 Sale #3010.
