Gustav V gold Proof "Pro Patria" Medal 1947, Barac-204. 34mm (not including mount). 29.60gm. By A. Lindberg. With crown-shaped integral mount and suspension ring, later ribbon. Awarded to Herman Nilson on 12 April 1947. A very attractive and desirable civic merit medal, awarded for 29 years of service according to the accompanying diploma. Some minor wisps are present, though the medal displays boldly cameoed fields. Inscribed with the recipient's name and date on the edge. The ribbon included likely is not the original ribbon of issue. Sold with the original award diploma, framed in Sweden.
