BUWAYHID: Abu Talib b. Fakhr al-Dawla, 997-999, BI dirham (4.40g), NM, ND, A-1576, acquired the title of Majd al-Dawla in 999 and ruled in the Jibal until 1029, somewhat crude strike, VF, RR. Somewhat similar in style to the Qazwin dirhams (Treadwell-Qa391.1) but possibly of northern Iraqi or the Jazira origin.
