EGYPT: Abdul Aziz, 1861-1876, AR 10 qirsh, Misr, AH1277 year 4, KM-257, remarkably well-struck example with deep original toning over brilliant lustrous proof fields, NGC graded Proof 65, RRR. In 1863 the Paris mint struck a series of silver and gold versions of new circulation types for Ottoman Egypt without the flower to the right of the toughra. Proof strikings of these are all extremely rare.
