ILKHAN: Ghazan Mahmud, 1295-1304, AR dirham (2.53g), Baghdad, AH696, A-2169, struck during the first phase of the reform, with the dirham weight still 2.52g, as introduced 18 years before by Abaqa, followed by the weight reduction to 2.16g early in AH697, about 10% flat strike, EF, RRR, ex Christian Rasmussen Collection. This was the first issue with the three 'Phags-Pa characters added on the Uighur obverse.
